Direct involvement

We take four or five commissions a year so you can work directly with Frank and Bronwen. The people you meet at the first meeting carry your project through, communicating clearly and keeping it moving without waiting to be chased.

Budget and design

We establish a working budget early and use it to guide decisions. When something needs to change, we explain the implications and work through the alternatives with you.

Materials and place

We consider materials, habitat and everyday life together. Our experience with plant-based and recovered materials helps us judge where they belong—and what their design, approvals and construction will require.
