Climate change is solvable with existing tools. Rank solutions by net impact (emissions reduced plus carbon sequestered minus costs) and drawdown, the point where atmospheric greenhouse gases peak, is reachable without speculative technology. The constraint is governance, culture, and land use. Energy alone is insufficient.

Every project can be audited against Drawdown's list: does this intervention register on the gigatonne scale, or is it feel-good? Drawdown assumes rational adoption and underplays political economy: fossil capital, rent-seeking, and entrenched power. Efficiency gains can increase total consumption. And carbon accounting is not the same as ecological health; some "solutions" create monocultures or extractive offsets.
